The Malappuram Urban Center or Malappuram urban agglomeration (UA) is an urban area consisting of City of Malappuram and its adjoining Municipalities and Panchayats. It has an urban population of 16,98,645. It is the fourth largest urban agglomeration in the state and 25th biggest in the country. Its major area consists of Malappuram City and four Municipalities.[1]
